Closest free camp to Tubac. Welcomes birders. State land, common to see hunters in season. No fire rings or anything. Good for one night. Some highway noise. Likely more spots down the road. Cell reception for At&t was good.

Good place to spend the night. Near the highway so you can hear some steady noise. Also can see the border patrol station from where we camped. Easy access to a nice flat area with no other people around. Could host multiple vehicles. The sign indicated Arizona State Trust lands and the need of a permit. We purchased this prior to our travels. Only $20/year. Placed the proof on our windshield.
Report Check-InQuick stop on the way to the border, lots of room. Be ready for border patrol to roll up with trailers and quads at midnight with full lights and chatting it up after their patrol a few hours later.
Report Check-InLooks like a great spot to boondock, however, there are official signs: “State trust, land, no trespassing, permit required“
Report Check-InLook for Hunter Access Point! Road is easy to navigate and there’s lots of space!
Report Check-InNot bad at all. Room for a few vehicles and easily accessible. There is now a small fire pit. Two bars on Visible. Right off the highway, so some road noise. Customs and border control rolled through, but otherwise pretty quiet.
Report Check-InLots of spots along this road- easily visible. Very quiet and great views. 2 bars Verizon ATT and T-Mobile.
