Love it here. It's an awesome free, dry camping area with clean pit toilets in the center of the park. Close to Slot Canyon and Borrego Springs town for supplies. We couldn't ask for better
Report Check-InDesert wash with many pullouts on Yaqui Wells Road. Located inside the Anza Borrego State Park, camping is free. Near by highway can be noisy at times, mostly during the day. One outhouse.
Report Check-InRoad in is sandy but my Class B could handle. Further on the road gets a bit rougher and 4×4 with high clearance would be recommended. The benefit of going in is that there are some attractive sites with more spacing. No T-mobile reception.
Report Check-InNice flat area with a rock fire ring. Easy drive in pickup truck camper (didn’t need to use 4wd), a little sandy road, but no problem for truck or 2wd Suzuki that followed. A little road noise from nearby road but few cars on it. We have 2 bars on Verizon.
Report Check-InA little bit of road noise as other had mentioned. Was pleasantly surprised to have 3+ bars of AT&T LTE reception and 2 bars of Verizon LTE reception here. Had no issues getting to the area in a standard 2WD sedan.
Report Check-InNice and fun disperse camping. And free. There is a toilet towards the entrance. The road farther in is sandy and some rocks. 5x4 would make it easier and fun.
Report Check-InSome road noise, but very little traffic after dark. Didn’t keep me from sleeping. 2wd ok as long as you avoid loose sand at some sites near the paved road. Drive till you see the pit toilets, sites near there are hard packed sand. Walk or drive back to the Tamarisk Campground, <1 mile to dump trash, recycling, and for showers and flush toilet.
Report Check-InNice place. Showers allowed for campers at the Tamrisk Grove Campground, 1$ for 2 tokens; 1 token : 2 minutes. If the host ask what is your site, you just answer that you are at the Yaqui Well Campground and it’s fine.
Report Check-InMany spots along the dirt road but not so many leveled. The first part of the road is soft sand/dirt and there were 6 inches of sand/dirt in the middle of the tracks. Noise from the road. Watch the birds and rabbits.
Report Check-InIt’s a nice spot. Close to a fairly busy road but not enough to ruin your evening.
Report Check-Inmany pull offs on the road. pit toilets. no cell service with T-Mobile. Can hear the road bit not much traffic. I imagine it gets better as you head up the road and away from the highway.
Report Check-InNicely spaced out free dispersed camping at Yaqui wells. No problems for truckcampers, however we still scraped our camper on small trees and bushes. Hiking at this time of the year is epic.
