Remote camping allowed as part of the BLM Sunstone Collection Area. 3 or 4 established sites at the entrance that have fire pit and metal sun shelters.
Lots of dispersed locations on the extensive two track road system. Roads past the entrance parking lot are generally not suitable for passenger cars.
The big draw is the numerous sunstones which are found on the surface. Small, perhaps smaller than a dime an be found.
Long distance views, exceptionally quiet unless military jets are training in the area.
No water, poor cell service
Private mining claims border a portion of the area. Signs are posted to project private props.

Wonderful quiet, dry, potentially dusty area. One decent pit toilet.
You feel like you are driving to the end of the world on gravel roads to get to this location. One or two covered picnic benches. I would definitely go here again.
I just got here after a very interesting drive through the fires
the washboard road coming in mean drive slow and enjoy the
veiw want to note there is not electricity at site and I do have limited cell service
into the outback in the morning
