Nice overlook pullout near Blodgett canyon trails. Enough space for 2 vans. Spent two nights, quiet. Good cell service.

The road is newly made and easy to drive. There is no flat space for the van.
Report Check-InPretty good view. Probably not a great idea to come up with a 2WD rig in winter or spring, but it'd be fine in the summer. Will require a decent size block to level your vehicle. I snagged a couple flat rocks from down the embankment.
Report Check-InThis is a large pull off on Blodgett Canyon Rd. It's got cell service, awesome views of the town below, and great proximity to the trailhead at the end of the road. You will pass through a few miles of private land to get here, but this site IS on public land. While the pull off itself is only good for car camping, there is an elevated and flat area directly across the road. You can no longer drive up it, but you could definitely pitch a tent! It was just a one nighter for us, but it was a perfectly suitable and quiet spot.
Report Check-Innice spot indeed, had a little fire in the rain, foggy in the morning, lots of nice yellow flowers in May :)
