Description

Great spot for overnight camping otw to Halifax or into Cape Breton. Lots of fresh water from the lake, plenty of available spots with picnic tables, and fire pits. Steady traffic and people during the day but after 11 pm we were the only ones here. Had no issues overnight.

Very nice area with about 5 or 6 spots off the roadside. The end ones are a little bigger. Most are for Class B or smaller. Our van was fine in a smaller parking spot. There are picnic tables in each spot. It was a bit windy but nice views. There was some car traffic but it ended around 10:30. Only one car came by overnight and very quiet. It was us and one other camper for the night and day use vehicles were all gone by 8-8:30.

Stayed the night here, it was great…until some disrespectful clowns ruined it. They were extremely loud, screaming at the top of their lungs, and setting off fireworks (illegally) - of course, the locals living around there complained the next morning and the police showed up. We were informed that although we weren’t making the noise, technically we couldn’t stay there anymore, and that they would be watching the area a bit more as this is not the first complaint. They asked us to update the app, stating that this was not a free place to stay the night, and that there are other options in the area. Great place to visit during the day however!

Got in around 10:30pm, little circulation from young locals until around midnight. But wonderful scenery by the water and quiet in the morning.
