Description

Beautiful spot on the lake. Came here at a night in summer and only 3 people. Drove out onto my own spot on a small peninsula and had a quiet night. Lots of cool wildlife. Fire ring, Picnic benches and vault toilets. Lots of spots available. It’s a little far from I-70 but the highway to and from is smooth and fast…worth it !

Latest Check-Ins

Great quiet lake. No trouble for our two vans overnight.

Report Check-In

Nice informal campsites around a small lake. No potable water, and the lake is pretty murky. There are trash cans in most of the sites and picnic tables and grills in some, fire rings in others.
The sites are large and far apart, and you have a choice between full sun and shade depending on where you camp. There are some stone outhouses and shelters here and there but they’re quite rustic and a bit of a walk from most sites.
The place is free and there are no signs indicating length of stay!
There were 2 RVs here when we got here Tuesday but they left and we have the place to ourselves. It’s a beautiful September day here.

It’s 1/2 mile north of Rte 24 close to Morland, but it’s over a hill so minimal traffic noise.

1 to occasionally 2bars LTE on ATT.

You'd never know such a place was there if you didn't see it. GPS Coordinates are WRONG and will lead you to a field a hour and half from the actual place. Take 70 to Hill City exit and got North to 24 and turn left. It's between Hill City and Hoxie.Keep an eye for the small Brown sign for Antelope Lake. Couple site seem popular and have garbage everywhere, but place is amazing and with some history in the buildings.
