The access to the park is closed due to an emergency situation (according to the signals at the entrance). we were able to stay outside near the school.

All the new descriptions are accurate. Camping is possible outside the park, you can use the toilets after opening hours. Wifi also works. Visiting the park is highly recommended.

still free and still a very nice camp spot. you can sleep in front of the entrance gate. some road noise from the main road, but no near traffic. wifi 3mbit.
there is no drinking water,

You can camp outside the park but beware of mosquitoes during summer. It’s closed to the road so you can hear the traffic at night. There is free wifi available and clean bathrooms inside the park. The Park is really worth visiting, no pets allowed though

This place is good if you are tired of driving, to camp for the night, when we arrived there it was about 17.30 and the park was closed, there was nobody but to the right of the park, there is an area you can camp without being seen from the road. Good enough for a night.

Its not posible to stay here anymore, not even outside the gate. There is a “Parador” 500m away with a flat parking area. Only use in emergency, because it’s impossible to sleep with the noise from the road.

The park is open but the camping inside the park is still closed, the rangers will direct you to a clearing just outside the gates where you can camp for free. There are no facilities and no water so come prepared. On the positive side, once dark the stars are amazing as their is no light pollution for miles.

Free beautiful park with different paths to explore. We camped outside, across the gate, passing the small road. No mosquitoes at this time of year. We saw a couple of wild cats and heard wild pigs around us. Although the wild life surrounding us, our kitties could play freely.
NOTE: No pets are allowed inside the park so be honest with the rangers about leaving your pets in your campers. Go early because it can get really hot by midday.

The free campsite is no longer open since the covid. You can sleep in front of the park. Large flat space with little shade. Many many mosquitoes!!!!!!!! The water from sanitary of the park is not drinkable and you are not even allowed to fill bottles… :( There is a kiosco 500 m away where you can buy water.

As described. Beautiful hikes. Very quiet. No more camping inside, though outside was fine for us and the WiFi reaches outside which is particularly nice as there is no cell signal.

However, this also means no access to toilet outside opening hours.

As described, very nice for free. We visited just after the rainy season began and were overwhelmed by the mosquitoes. We only stayed one night, and only just barely as the bugs were intense.

Nice NP camping. Free entry free overnight stay only register at the entrance. No shade for rigs! Beautiful walks, spectacular views on the guanaco walk (register for this walk).

Quiet free good camping spot inside the park - drive past the office (where you should first register) then turn left at camping sign.
Drive out to Miradors for short nice hikes with views.
Toilets with running water and cold showers.

Very beautiful park, better than we expected. Little visited, we wonder why... The park is still free and we spend 2 nights in front of the little school. Very safe area, only some people on motorbikes and cars around for the free wifi. Very quiet at night.

Entrada gratuita, com trilhas auto guiadas e outras maiores que é necessário contratar um guia com valor à combinar. Camping grátis, mas somente para barracas. Estacionamos em frente à entrada do parque com wi-fi free maravilhoso, mas só conectou no celular.
A estrada até o parque tem poucos postos de gasolina e o único que aceitava cartão, aceitava apenas visa.
Paisagem incrível, com muitos pontos de apreciação. Estivemos no inverno e tinha poucas pessoas e foi melhor ainda.

hermoso parque de sierras coloradas y estratos arqueológicos. hay gran cantidad de cactus.
la entrada es gratuita.
el camping es gratuito. baños solo con agua fría y sin electricidad. ingreso de 8 a 19.
muy tranquilo para pasar la noche.
guardaparques muy amables

We came back here as a good stop on our way back to San Juan. As we went for a walk we were able to pick up wifi signal at first parking area for tent camp sites! Still clean, quiet and free.

Camping and national park free of charge... We did the 2 little walks one day (Nice but not aas much as we expected), but today we did the sendero guanaco (dont need a guide) which is really nice, beautiful sceneries !!

Loved this place, stayed 2 nights. We got free entrance to camping and the park but it is low season right now, we had the whole place to ourselves! Tons of opportunities for wildlife spotting and great views. We did wish there was opportunity for actual trekking, there are only very easy loops which can be done in under an hour. Water is not potable but there is WiFi near the school.

Very basic campground but pleasant. Nice bathrooms with clean showers. Low water pressure but adequate. And it's free for now. The park has a variety of hiking trails, some of the longer ones require a reservation because they are guided. The park rangers are helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Der Camping liegt nicht so toll, aber wenn man die Schotterpiste ca 6 km bis ans Ende fährt kommt man zu einem Besucherzentrum, von dem einige gekennzeichnete Wanderwege wegführen. toller Canyon und atemberaubende Miradores. sehr sehenswert. Das vermutet man nicht wenn man hinkommt. Am Camping gibt es Toiletten und Duschen mit kaltem Wasser. Alles sehr sauber. Den Müll muss man jedoch wieder mitnehmen, es gibt keine Mülleimer. Als wir da waren, war sonst niemand am Campingplatz, daher war es sehr ruhig.

We arrived midweek and did not pay to enter park or to camp. Very quiet. As mentioned wifi only by school/office; dies not reach campsites. Bathrooms clean, no water in men's, garbage not picked and no water in women's sinks. Showers worked but low pressure. They get warmer the more times you push the button but of course not hot.

Camping is for free, if you want to enter the parc it’s 280pp. The campsite is very clean with only 6 plots (each with place for a tent, wooden bench+table and a fire place). The plots are separated by bushes and connected with small paths. There is also a parking area nearby so if you want to sleep in the car it’s no problem. A small house with toilets and shower for men and women is few meters away. It’s great to sleep there and you are alone with the pure nature and lots of animals. Be aware, if you use lights at dusk all insects will find you!

nice new campsite. Sheltered spots for tents. Rigs and vans to be placed on the parking lot of the campsite. Nice and quiet. new sanitary block. cold showers. no power at sites. Camping free of charge, however you'll pay park entrance fee (280 pp. ) (once...even if you stay more nights.) Park has beautiful scenery. Three free walks. Two guided walks.

Park and campsite are open. Both free of charge, you have to register for camping. Very nice individual campsites with table, bench and fireplace. Shady trees. Campsites are not accessible by car. So, with a camper you have to stay on the parking lot, which is no problem at all. Sanitary block clean and well maintained. Showers cold. Quiet beside the sounds of nature. We were the only visitors.
You can do 3 hiking trails to view points on your own (free, but you have to register for the Guanaco trail) and there are 2 guided walks (250 and 500 ARS pp).

The campground is closed because it is in maintenance. You can park outside the park and use the restrooms during office hours. There is an open wifi signal near the school.

Campground is closed. We had to park outside the gate in front of the school. The ranger told that it is only open during the somer .

It is one of the most beautiful camping sites we've been. There are many small hidden camping areas so you will feel alone. Toilets were clean.

campsite is closed for renovation right now. Ranger did not even allow us to stay in front of the information center. We had to stay outside in front of the school (wifi from park works). Anyway we didn't want to pay the tourist entrance fee. The really interesting gorges can only be visited with a guided tour which costs extra.

As others said and everything looks new and is in good condition. To our surprise we were not charged to enter the park when registering (perhaps we're out of season?), and camping is indeed free:)

Entrance fee is 150 pesos p.p. now, you can stay on the campground as long as you want. Motorhomes have to camp on the parkinglot next to the campspots.
It's around 6km's to the other parkinglot to do the walks, nice to go on bicycles. Beautifull walks.

This is the one open campground within the park. Nice bathrooms with showers. Water but not for drinking. Park entrance is now AR$150pp (US$10). Nice place to stop, but the park has lots of rules to keep you safe.
