Description

Spent a night on this quiet bay a few minutes drive beyond La Gringa. Dirt track was steep and uneven crossing the last hill so would not advise attempting this in anything too large or without 4wd. Great view out onto the islands and lovely clear water for swimming on the pebble beach. There was a level clear spot at the far end of the bay. Lots of birds, and other wildlife.

As mentioned, save your kidneys and take the easy left path just before the La Gringa entrance. Follow the white rock markers to the beach.

EASY ACCESS FOR BEACHES BEYOND LA GRINGA..... there is a small mountain that's got the painted 'welcome to la gringa' sign on it. If you take the road that seems to be going around the front of it by the water, you'll end up with two choices which are really tough for non-4x4s. If you take a left before the small mountain, you'll know you're on the right road going around the back of this mound, you'll soon see a lot of glass bottles dumped around, but I swear it got better, Just keep carving around the back of that mound and you'll find the free beach no problem.

ahah,. EASIER ACCESS TO BEACH BEYOND LA GRINGA.... Don't take the road that goes straight and around the front of the mountain (?) with the huge la Grange sign on it. That's the 4x4 route. for easier access, take a left just before the mountain, there is two fake roads right by the mountain, and then a third that goes right around it. you'll know you're on the right road, if you soon come to be driving through a glass bottle dump, but I tell y'all, it got better. keep certainly in the mountain, and you'll meet the 2 different 4x4 Access roads that go over the top!

Great spot during wind. Nice shelter if you pull all the way forward. And medium rocks were a nice break from blowing sand in town. No amenities.

You can pass through the fence now. No amenities.

Lovely pebble beach but they were putting up a fence when we were there, blocking most of the access roads. Not sure why or what they are fencing but beware!

Very nice beach. Paid man 50/pesos per night. That includes restrooms ( non flushing) and bucket showers. Cleanest beach we have seen in Baja so far. Lots of trash cans nearby. Very windy. Lots of sea life dolphins, rays, fish.

Take left before main camping area, past dump, then a right and keep driving to get there with 2wd and avoid scary hill.
