Description

10 min away from Chichen Itza. We came in the afternoon and agreed to pay 100 pesos to park and stay overnight. It’s run by 2 siblings: Estela and Benjamin. It’s only 10min walk from Chichen itzá. We slept very well, quiet night. And, during the day was full of shade and breeze. They have another parking lot next to this one that has access to water and soon they’ll have access to water in this one. They’re very happy to receive other travelers, overlanders, RVers, etc. Very friendly people, we chatted for a bit and shared some stories.

We spent one night here before visiting Chichén Itzá. We were alone at night and when we came back to our van after visiting we were still alone, nobody on the parking. We had a quiet and safe night.

Great spot to visit Chichen Itza early in the morning. Large grassy area which some shade.
10 min walk to the pyramides.
A lady asked us 100 pesos and gave a receipt but she doesn’t come often so it can be free.

Large gravel parking lot. We paid 100 peso for the night and the next morning. Easy walk to Chichen Itza.

As described. We parked in the back of the field in the shade. Still a bit of road noise in evening but not so bad through the night. It wasn’t a problem for us. Paid 100 Pesos and stayed in our van. Will walk to ruins this morning and save on parking. Pretty sweet spot and we had it all to ourselves. No amenities but we didn’t need them. Slept with doors open for some flow through ventilation. Felt safe. Flat with plenty of room for large rigs.

Big field where you can park for the night and during your visit in Chichement Itza. We heard some noise from the road, but it was very quiet though. 100 pesos for the night.

This is definitely a good spot to spend the night before visiting the ruins. It is a big gravel parking lot with some grassy areas in the back. 100$ per car per night. There is a trash can but no other amenities.
It is really only a 10 minute walk to the entrance and I would highly recommend not to try to get there by car! If you want some peace at the ruins be there before 8 am. At 8 o‘ click the parking lot is almost full and there is a long queue in front of the ticket booth. They take 573$ per person!!! But the ruins are wonderful!

This spot is pretty good as far as a campsite without amenities gets. Spent one night here with the bike & tent. 100 pesos. Felt safe and it was a quiet night. Visited Chichen Itza early in the morning and left my tent and stuff there until I came back. All very fine.
