Something not right?

Description

nice quiet pullout on a road into the hills.
the earlier spot (I'll update) was within a 3 mile prohibition signed so we carried on and found this. we parked snug against the trees facing the road and aside from several cars passing overnight it was level and quiet.
only downside was no cell service. happily we had an Austin Powers to watch so it worked out perfectly!

Latest Check-Ins

We had 4 trucks, 2 with RTT’s. Could have accommodated a couple more. Nice spot, some of the locals honked as they drove by, but overall we slept well and it was great for morning coffee and devotions.

Report Check-In

We stayed for one night. Arrived around 5pm and left at 9am. Perfect spot just for one night, but please take your trash.

Unfortunately they've moved the post which states no camping or overnight parking just beyond this spot between Santa Rita Rd/old creek itself and this location. So you can only camp beyond this spot further down the road if you’re driving from highway 1. Seems like the locals really don’t want us around..
Checked Santa Rita Rd for spots but the first couple of miles has people living there. Does have a couple of shallow but doable turn outs tho which don’t have any signs saying no parking but I didn’t wanna piss anyone off. Got dark and decided to just go to a campground because we needed a hot shower anyway.

Report Check-In

As others have observed, this is a nice spot just past the 3 mile no camping zone that runs along the lake. Getting level was not overly difficult, but the ability to raise/lower front to back is helpful here. Fairly quiet over the middle of the night, with cars picking up to around 1 per minute during the late evening and early morning hours. Room for maybe 3 full-size rigs if they coordinate. We were by ourselves, so able to get 50-75 feet off the highway nestled up against the trees.
