Description

Great traditional restaurant in a beautiful garden setting in Santa Catarina Minas that will allow you to park/camp outside overnight if you purchase something. The parking lot is shielded from the road by the restaurant itself, so when it closes ~7pm, it’s incredibly quiet, private, safe & comfortable. There’s even a little toilet and sink available outside.

We ate both dinner and brekky here! The food is excellent (we recommend the mole coloradito on enchiladas or chilaquiles) and the prices are very reasonable— 70p for most meals and we had leftovers. Friendly staff & overall a wonderful experience to stay here!

We came for lunch and enjoyed a delicious meal and lemonades. We also got two mezcal before the meal. We are vegetarians and found options on the menu :) When we wanted to leave, the lady approached us and invited us to stay overnight. We definitely would but we wanted to drive a bit further. Lovely place, lovely people, delicious food!

Enrique and his family are super welcoming, they are happy to have overlanders in their restaurant. The food is delicious and cheap! be aware that they close the kitchen at 7pm, try to arrive before if you want to eat. they are building showers as mentioned, very close to getting ready. Enrique is passionate about mezcal, which he might offer to you! we had an amazing experience, would definitely stay again, Enrique is truly generous and happy to meet people from all over the world. he doesn't speak English.

This place is a true gem. They have great food for great prices, you can camp here, there is a toilet, potable water, internet an Enrique has the best Mezcal en Mexico. He’s also working on showers for future visitors. It’s also possible to pitch a tent here. If you’re in the area, don’t waste your sleep parking on the street, just come here and you will have a great time.

We visited the Restaurant and asked if we can stay the night on the parking lot in our van, if we're eating here. They said of course! Enrique and his family is super nice and the restaurant offers excellent and really cheap food. They have a clean toilet, which is open the whole day and night. We even came the next evening again and stayed here one more night. We didn't have to pay to stay for the night

This spot is perfect! On our way to Oaxaca City from the Pacific coast, we couldn't hopped for a better place to have a good rest.
As it was said before, it's a family business which provide very good food for good price, who is very welcoming, and has a very pleasant backyard parking lot with toilets open all night long :) For sure we'll get our breakfast here tomorrow morning too!!

The owners are SUPER friendly (Spanish only, but good Telcel here for google translate if you need it), the establishment is nice, it's dog friendly, the food is wonderful and wonderfully priced, great drinks menu, and quiet after restaurant closes. Parking overnight is free if you eat. A gem of a spot.
