What à wonderful place ! Peaceful night, red éléphants at the water hole next to the camp, fresh water (ask for it), very clean ablutions block with lot of pressure at the shower. And in addition this place is run by a very friendly and helpful team. Thank you !

A beautiful campsite/lodge, right next to the entrance of Tsavo. A large camping spot, where it is wonderfully quiet. The sanitary facilities are clean, even hot water. The staff is friendly, the price is okay. kes 800 per person per night.

We felt so welcome here! They are keen to host overlanders, and thats clear in how they treat you. James and his team are very welcoming. Campsite and facilities are good, bar and restaurant available. Count on lots of bugs, though.

Very nice campsite at the edge of Tsavo ! It has everything : very clean ablutions with hot tiled showers (great pressure). The waterhole is next to the campsite : we saw elephants and buffalo's very close. Super friendly welcome by James, the owner and his staff. The restaurant/bar is open and food is very good ! There are also cabins available and they continue building to make the whole lodge even more attractive for campers and visitors. Main entrance to Tsavo East is 5 minutes from the lodge. We strongly recommend to camp here !!! Warm experience !

Fantastic value for money! 500 per night for camping, 1000pP for set 4 course set dinner menu, 750pP for huge breakfast. Clean toilets and showers. If a room is free, James will give you access to a hot shower - first one we‘ve had in Kenya. James is very knowledgable about the area and advised us on which route to take to Amboseli. The lodge is very close to the Tsavo East entrance gate which is also worth a visit! We saw lots of wildlife and even several lions between the gate and Aruba Dam.

The campsite faces the national park and there is a waterhole on the other side. We didn't see anything, but during the rainy season the animals don't depend on it. Very good free WiFi. The showers at the campsite had only cold water. There a 3 campinf spots surrounded by bougainvillea, very pretty. The bar/restaurant is open and they prepared a delicious curry for us vegetarians.

All as mentioned befor. Very beautiful camp with now 3 flowered campsites near the fence of the national park. Very friendly and helpful owner. He built the campsite step by step. Good restaurant with bar. They lighten a fire in the evening and it’s nice to have drink there. The campsite is near the waterhole and if you are lucky you see elephants. Very quit and private campsites. Toilets new built near the camp or in the lodge building. We used this camp for a restday on the way to Mombasa. Still KSH 500 pppn

Very nice place, comfortable and kind owners!
We park on a grass and they open us room to use shower and toilets. Also have fast Wi-Fi.

James and the team are absolutely lovely hosts. The location is less than 5 mins outside Voi gate for Tsavo East NP. There is a lodge with bar and restaurant area (nearly completed) and beautiful tented camping area. Plus a campsite. At the moment you can park anywhere on the grassy site so we pitched next to the waterhole and watched elephants in the afternoon and morning and heard them slurping at night. The campsite is next to be developed and the plan is shielded camping spots a viewing platform, camp kitchen and new ablution block. it will make it one of the best camps in Kenya for facilities. meantime we used a hot and powerful shower by the main gate and western toilet. Stayed 2 nights and would definitely come again. 500ksh pppn

Agree with the last entry. Staff do anything to help. Place is one to watch. Superb effort by the team building this place. Slept by the waterhole. Clever strategy and also very close to the gate. Everything being done here is with a lot of attention and care. The staff are paid appropriately and it shows. The owners experience means it's a place that will grow to offer something for everyone. 500 per person per night. Elephants in the distance. Lion approx 80m away roaring at 2am. Fantastic!

Great camping spot. As to date it is yet not finished, so I went for dinner at Tsavo Lodge (same owner) on the same road but 500m before the camping.

I pitched the tent for 500ks and they gave me keys to a lodge for shower and bathroom. Including hot water and great 4G safari com connection. Price for 1 tent and 1 motorcycle.

Simba Safari Lodge will become a stunning location when finished. A lot of trees have been planted.
Bar and Restaurant still under construction. Next project will be the campsite.
For now you’ll get the key for one of the A-frame bungalows for toilet and a hot shower.
I could park right at the waterhole and they even laid out an extension cord that far during the night. During daytime it was needed by the builders.
There is 1 lovely grassy spot right next to the bungalows for smaller vehicles to camp, but I preferred more privacy and went to the waterhole. Had waterbuck, impalas and elephants visiting.
People are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you with everything.
Water for shower from the borehole is a bit salty but there is a tank with fresh water for drinking.
Free WiFi at the bar area, but otherwise a very good Safaricom connection, as the antennas are not far up on a hill.
Price still 500 KSh pP until building is finished

Still under construction, they plan to build a kitchen-area for the campers, which should be ready in about 3 months. At the moment you can park everywhere you want, so we choose to park directly at the fence, facing a little waterhole. Elephants came to drink, which was a great experience for us. We could use the shower in one of the rooms.

During the week the construction take place, so a lot of people are busy working. On sundays its silent :).

The price for camping will rise to 1000pppn.

Really nice lodge and campsite right at the Voi gate to enter the Tsavo East National Park. Clean ablution and lovely grass area to park the car with an amazing view. Really friendly owner Wilfried who you can contact through WhatsApp +254 722 711 083. Bar and restaurant under construction, opening date in one month. Bbq available.
