Description

Hacienda at 3000 metres makes a nice escape from Lima's heat and humidity in the summer.
14 guest rooms and shady grassed camping area.
Self-contained rigs can set up in the parking lot with access to electricity in the guest lounge. Water available below verandah.
La Florida is a working Hacienda run by a German-Peruvian couple Inge and Pepe, but most of it is redone to accommodate tourists.
The camping area for tents is in the garden with toilet and showers nearby. Large verandah overlooks the garden and there is a cosy guest lounge and games room.
WIFI is adequate.
Restaurant with 3 course meal du jour in the evening and yummy breakfast.

BigRigs note that top of entrance gate hinges up to increase opening. Just double check that it is high enough.

This place is magical! 200 plus year old historic buildings with the most friendly owner Inge who speaks English and German fluently. Huge gardens, kitchen and dining facility, lounge with indoor and outdoor fireplace and very clean bathrooms. There is also a restaurant. Its a working farm so animals and fields of artichoke all around. Safe and secure walled estate. Would definitely recommend visiting here and staying more than one night.

The owners are not here and it seems the place had seen better days. We ordered lunch and it was very basic, no slow food at all, but expensive. It looks better than it is in reality. A lot of traffic noise in the night.

Wonderful place, attraction, comfortable and peaceful. We stayed two nights and were allowed to wash a ton of clothes and hang them on their lines. We enjoyed a nice breakfast in the restaurant. As indicated, the entrance gate can be raised to accommodate any height vehicle.

Lovely place. Unique Hacienda with a still running farm. Very nice German owner Inge. The Italian owner Pepe you probably won’t see. There is one place where you can level your rig quite well. Good WiFi in your camper. Very nice colonial style verandah for guests overlooking the lovely garden. Shower can be arranged in the early morning, however we used ours.

A great place to stay! Quiet at night! Very friendly and welcoming owners. Inge was very helpful with some tips on herbal remedies for a cold. ( Thank you again if you read this Inge, it was very helpful)
We could pick some of the herbs in her garden.
Use of bathroom, no shower , very clean though. We could plug in on the veranda

We slept here in our car for one night in the main square area (S/18 pP - a bit pricy for camping but worth the experience and nicer than in town). Access to clean bathrooms but no showers. As described the garden is gorgeous and staff really nice. There is a big area where you can pitch a tent although we opted to sleep in the car. We cooked and ate on the veranda and joined Carlos in the morning to milk the cows and feet the rabbits and poultry. We also bought some fresh milk and cheese before leaving (super yummy!).
Inge welcomed us warmly, provided us with lots of information and left us to our own devices. We only met her husband briefly when he helped us jump start our car in the morning.

We were looking forward to the comfort of an organized place after several days of wild camping. Our experience here was ok. shower is hot for maybe 3 minutes then lukewarm, which can feel cold at 3000m depending on the weather. I opted to shower in my rig. WiFi was pretty weak. there's no laundry service. We were offered a place to wash by hand, but the water didn't work. the water we used to fill up the truck comes from a nearby stream. this is an urban environment so I wasn't comfortable with the quality of the water. but maybe all of these details wouldn't matter if the manager or the owner had come over to say hi. Inge was apparently traveling. her husband was present but only waved when we left. there's many people who work on the hacienda. they are all friendly. but the management seemed to treat us campers as an afterthought, and we didn't feel the quality of the services compensated for that.

Sehr empfehlenswert!

As described. Not much level ground in courtyard to park rigs. Big rigs note that top section of front gate hinges up to increase the opening height. Just double check the man has opened it enough
