I am in a pretty stealthy all white plain Jane Ford Transit and went out of my way to be invisible (doors closed, window covers up, and minimal noise). I stayed one night and went to a coffee shop to work from 8am to 1pm, and came back to pack up and leave. When I got back to my van, a police officer came and said someone called to complain about “a camper running in the neighborhood”. I have a feeling the complaint was regarding the person who posted that they stayed here on 6/22 the night before me in the Class C camper who was not being stealthy and was “hanging out in their pajamas”, and when the resident noticed another possible camper they decided to call the police.

Please do not treat stealth camping spots like RV parks. You are ruining it for the rest of us who are trying to go unnoticed and blend in.

I recommend not staying here for a few weeks to let people forget and to please only stay here if you are truly stealthy about it.

Great spot, we're lucky to be able to stay here so please keep it clean and quiet. There are houses on one side of the street and a park and beach on the other, plenty of parking along the park/ beach side. I'm not exactly stealth, in a 25' class C towing a car and with a dog, but no one bothered me. It gets busy in the morning with dog walkers and joggers that I assume are locals, but everyone was very friendly, even while I was having coffee in my pajamas and it was obvious that I had stayed the night.

Walking distance to just about everything in Salem- museums, shopping, attractions, restaurants, breweries, etc. There's a little Italian restaurant at the corner of Collins and Webb. I didn't order food but did run in and grab some cookies about two minutes before they closed, I highly recommend the cookies and I'll bet the food is really good too :) Please patronize this restaurant so they continue to welcome overnight parking.

Excellent spot! We’re in a pretty stealthy Chevy express. Stayed here for a few nights last July and stayed here the past few nights. No issues at all. Super chill, super quiet. It is a neighborhood, so be respectful. Show up late, leave early, don’t linger and these spots will stay open! Happy Travels!

Neighbor told us no RV parking allowed here, but there are no signs indicating this...

Lovely spot next to water and park. Lots of unrestricted street parking along here.
