Cozy little place hidden from the main road up Cerro San Bernardo. Nice spot out in nature but still rather close to the city. There is a little police station just around 50m further down the path so this will also be a secure place to stay. I talked to the police officer and he said it's fine to stay here.
some bikers and joggers in the evening and morning. Otherwise very quiet. Good cell reception. Easy to reach with 2WD. Might work with a big rig, not exactly sure though...

The same thing happened to us... Policemen woke us up in the middle of the night and told us that it's not allowed to spend the night on Cerro San Bernardo.

Just an update, we stayed the night here, but at 6 am a police man came by and told us it was not allowed to park there because it was a “landslide area”. Otherwise it was super nice, and amazing view of the city in the night.

Solo una actualización, pasamos la noche aquí, pero a las 6 a.m. vino un policía y nos dijo que no estaba permitido estacionar allí porque era un "área de derrumbe". De lo contrario, fue súper agradable y una vista increíble de la ciudad por la noche.
