We stayed at the big parking lot (after the campground permit zone) on Sunday, June 23. Arrived at around 8pm and left after 6am. There were bear boxes where we stored our food. We had a very peaceful night and didn’t have any issues at all.

Report Check-InSpent 4 nights here without problem. We were not alone because the overflow of the campground is there so it’s kind of normal to camp here.
Report Check-InIt's free if you leave the parking before 7-8 am. After that there ranger come appear and tell you to pay for this night
Report Check-Inwe stayed up in the big lot in the campground past most of the loops. the ranger at the north entrance told us dispersed camping was allowed here although not advertised in the winter when the campground is closed. we saw or heard no one and had the lot to ourselves.
Report Check-InParking lot next to the road to the park entrance.
The place where you have to go if all the park campgrounds are full.
Near the road but quiet at night. Felt safe.
