Something not right?

Description

The roadside parking along Dayville between the hatchery and the campground is unlimited and made for an acceptable hasty overnight. Plenty of space to parallel park even a semi truck. Verizon signal was strong. Road noise was bad. Seagull noise was unreal.

Latest Check-Ins

Lots of roadside parking. No signs prohibiting it. 3 other rvs on the road as we pulled in tonight at 9:30pm. plenty of space to not be on top of eachother. keep it open! leave no trace, keep your slides in and don't overstay, they already have no overnight signs up at the trailheads and parking lots. This is one of the last free spaces near town.

Report Check-In

Same as previously mentioned, but I can add that the seagull noise is lessened if you park a little furthur from the hatchery .

Report Check-In

As described below. We were going to stay at Alison Point campground but the sites were not much better than the road and were crammed together. Good cell signal, great views and wildlife viewing from your window. We saw a black bear on the shore below us, a bald eagle across the street and sea lions in the bay. Very quiet evening until 5am we suspect employees going to work in the Trans Alaska terminal at the end of the road.

Report Check-In

Every passing car or truck will shake your vehicle and the seagulls and -lions can be VERY loud, but the "wild"life viewing made up for it. Strong scent from the hatchery as well.

Report Check-In

Fish and sealions very abundant last night. Plenty of room but it’s in a lane right against the road. Seemed fairly quiet traffic-wise between like 11-5 and then picked up. Not terrible but not great, noise-wise. Gorgeous spot!

Report Check-In

Pretty spot. Noisy but safe. It worked fine for one night. The fish ladder and wildlife is worth the visit. Good cell service for AT&T and Verizon.
