This is actually a viewpoint but since all the campsites shown to the west were securely closed we chose to stay here for the night. No signs saying that this is not allowed. Quite a few day trippers stopping by to check the spectacular view. Pit latrine available and open. Garbage can too. Some road noise but very infrequent. We parked right next to the picnic table. Best views. This spot is also the trail head to the Crest and Hillsboro Hill trails. Our ATT was intermittent.

Beautiful here tonight with the full moon and a perfect spot for sunrise. Quiet, no issues. Would recommend.
