Now $2.5 each empanada... fritada $5... we tried very delicious plates in Riobamba for much less money.

Indeed great big empanadas! And Mercedes is adorable. We order 6 empanadas, 3 to here and 3 to go and she even gave us one on the house.
She even told us very proud that she shows up in some lonely plants books too.

DO NOT miss these empanadas! The chocolate, banana and creme is amazing. The pollo and cheese is delicious. The vegetables and cheese is sooooo fresh! And she has coffee, juices, sandwiches, nachos and more. Aside from that she is the kindest woman ever, and the WiFi is fast.

Absolutely amazing empañadas!!! A must-go. It's just down the road (<50m) from the cascada parking lot. We started with the chocobanano empanada 5 years ago and came back for more this time. Still as amazing, and the savoury options (cheese, veggies, etc.) were equally delicious.

This is the perfect place to grab a bite before/after going to Pailon del Diablo. Mercedes is super kind ! She even offered to keep an eye on our car while we went to see the waterfall. The empanadas were very good and the juices as well! We really enjoyed the sweet empanadas (banana+Strawberry+chocolat).

Really good! 1$ for one flavour, 1.50$ for two flavour (like Pollo y queso, banana y chocolate). Nice lady!

Some of the best empanadas in South America. Just above the car park. If coming from Baños, she is the last restaurant on the left on the old road through Rio Verde. She also has a restaurant in Baños.
