Restaurant Tipicos El Charancaco | Informal Campsite

We spent a calm night on a grassy area at the black of the place, far from the road. We were warmly welcomed by the sympathetic owner for free. Mini-farm and outdoor games great for the kids. The restaurant is good and freshly pressed jugos de cana are incredibles !

The owner (who speaks English) welcomed us very kindly on his property. He installed us on a grassy ground next to the huts, he also authorized us to use the restaurant toilets which remain open all night. All for free! The place is quiet and peaceful, there are many farm animals. The owner is delighted to see strangers stop at home, he told us that we should not feel forced to eat in the restaurant.

We stopped here on our way to the Caribbean. Owner was surprised to see us come. She couldn't understand why and how travellers kept stopping at her place. We explained her and showed her the app and told her she can close the place anytime if she didn't want traverlers to stop anymore. But she said she was OK with it :) She didn't ask for us to pay at all but we ate at the restaurant in the evening. Seems quite normal :) Nice place with lot of animals, playground for the kids, great restaurant and clean toilets.

Its a restaurant and they also have Cabanas ..

We asked if we can camp at the backyard of the restaurant and they said we dont have to pay or even eat at the restaurant.. We went for some beers though 🤙

They have a lot of chickens, birds and other animals in the garden! They run around freely and its pretty funny to watch at..
