Description

Rest area with pit toilets but with a nice picnic area in the forest next to it with tables and fireplaces down a gravel road to the left of the paved lot where there is room for 3 parties and direct access to river. Don't miss the small gravel road leading down to the spots! The main parking area is large enough for many rigs of various sizes, very comfortable, and allows for some distance away from the road noise. Water from creek only,

This is more formally known as the June Creek Rest Area and is searchable on map apps by that name. It's about 30 minutes north of Healy on the East side of the road. Very easy in and out.
2 other (very quiet) campers in the rest area when I arrived in my campervan and when I left. I didn't go down the dirt road to check out the other sites and didn't use the bathroom. It was easy, level and not all that noisy. The parking lot is large so I was well away from the road. I'd stay again for sure.

As described. Road down to picnic spots is steep but there's a large turnaround area at the bottom. One picnic site large enough for a Sprinter, but the remaining spots are only large enough for car or small van. Lots of road noise overnight, but then the sun never sets. Minimal cell service.

Really cute places with a babbling brook. Almost covers the road noise. It can be tough to turn around in the far places. Nice picnic tables, few bugs.
