Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Signs that are clearly saying „no camping“ and „no overnight parking“ in Spanish are installed everywhere! I would not risk it and go find another place. Chana or Chaiten are good options in my opinion.
Report Check-InI saw a sing "no acampar o pernoctar" meaning "no camping or overnight stay" but as it is not a gov sing I have my doubts that is a local abuse, similar as some rich people preventing access to public beaches bc they have a property close to it, that is ilegal in the country, but I couldn't find any law against sleep in your car. I'm staying here to test my hypothesis I'll let you know my findings.
Report Check-InVery nice camping at the beach. Some other campers also stayed for the night. Very quiet, only the sound of the ocean. Waking up to sea views. We saw a few sea lions.
Report Check-InBeach place. Very nice spot. You can watch seals and dolphins (toninas) in the morning and evening. Toilet is nearby just across the road Chaitén side, no idea of it is ever cleaned Also multiple water taps available. Unsure if you can drink it, not tried. Shower is not working anymore.
The morning before we noticed some sand flies, but the they after none was spotted.
Tip 1: to also walk to the beach to the Morro Vilcún side, great view.
Tip 2: There is a food truck / camping Natour a couple 100m away from the beach. A very friendly couple offers great breakfast and/or coffee for a small price. Also a nice place to camp! They also rent bikes and offer kayak tours.
Report Check-Invery chill area with a bit of road traffic and locals enjoying the beach during the day. easy access for any vehicle and there is a bathroom and water spigot very close. shower looks to be permanently closed down.
Report Check-InIt was great to park with our 4x4, awesome views. But need to make sure to park above the tide line.
Report Check-InWe stayed here one night. Parked our car in the corner of the road. Some other vans and locals relaxing. Easily accessible for all kind of cars.
Report Check-Inbeautiful place to stay. You can stand with a van on the grass by the beach. We saw dolphins and seals. There is a public toilet.
Report Check-InNice beach parking with a view. Very quiet, although there are locals and other campers around. Can't judge the amenities. Cell phone signal, but no 4G.
