Pull out sites all along Forest Service road 83. Some with fire rings. Sign saying camping allowed. Road not bad but a little muddy when wet. Only a couple other campers when we were here, plenty of room and spread out. We made it in our FWD Promaster Campervan without issues. Verizon signal is weak, we only had 1 bar without booster. Would definitely stay here again.

FR89 has plenty of spots to camp. We continued on past the spot marked on the iOverlander map and passed several RVs and camps. Found a beautiful spot with a view of the lake and what feels like a desert garden! An old atv trail goes off into the ‘garden’ and makes it easy to wander. Firepit, lots of level area and room in this particular spot for several rigs. We’re in a 1 ton truck towing a 25 foot trailer and had no issues with the road. Passed over the cattle guard to reach this spot.
