Really nice spot, especially for a free campground. Created recently so everything is clean and tidy and in good condition, including the pit toilets. Some sites right by the waters edge. Don't take the turning that Google Maps suggests, which takes you down a track which is gated shut and has no place to turn around. Take the turning 1km further east towards Campbell River, which has a signpost for the campground.

First sunny weekend in March and it was full, even had a vehicle in overflow. Lovely campground. For starlink users, site 1&2 have connection, with site 1 being better than 2

Very nice campsites with beautiful views of the lake. Sites are free and are first come first serve.

Beautiful Campground right at the lake. Very clean and sweet host. Looks like a view people are staying here longer, hard to get a side at the lake but we stayed at the gravel pit just on the right. Worked perfectly, had a great quiet night.

Nice free spot with 21 campsites. Clean pit-toilets and access to the lake. The lake has clear water anf is nice for a swim

Very nice new (Feb 2021) year round campground with gravel pads, tables, waste receptacles, pit toilets beside a large reservoir with a good view of mountains - snow clad in late March.
Most sites suitable for up to 27’ trailer but there are a few very large sites. On Friday March 26, all but 4 of the 21 sites were full.
