Something not right?

Description

This place has to great assets: its elevated location provides beautiful views right the camping spot; and the swimming pool is nice, big and clean. On the downside the caretaker (he is not the owner) is unfriendly and has no service attitude. The toilets are without seats and paper and the showers are truly outdoor and without privacy. It's a bit close to the road and there are fuel trucks all night.
25k pp pn. Expensive but the views at sunset are fantastic.

We can confirm everything that has been said. $$$The most
we have paid in Colombia. They even charged our 3 year old daughter because she was going to use the pool. Caretaker was nice enough until she pulled our cable out of the socket without talking to us. When we tried to ask her to lower the price because electricity was clearly not included and mentioned that our friends would join us giving her custom too- she wouldn’t back down. So we left. Having said that, beautiful views, very clean grounds and pool- and short walk to the Obelisco (the geographical centre of Colombia) which is fun!

Report Check-In

Indeed a beautiful spot with great views all the way at the end of the cliff.
However noisy trucks all day and night (during Easter!), which was why we didn’t stay a second night.
Bathrooms are so so (doors can’t close, no toilet seats, showers outside).
Prices are now 35.000 cop pp which I consider way too expensive.

The caretaker was a very friendly woman.Big clean pool, everything clean. This road is not very noisy. No trucks at night. The best camping spot is at the very far lower end at the viewpoint.A small island on a cliff overlooking the canyon (1vehicle). 30k pp.

They now want 30.000 pesos pp. Drive to the right end of the meadow and you'll find one of the best places you ever had.

Can confirm the last comments of kasbah.ch. The price of 25‘000 per person is still not negotiable. :( No wifi.

We tried to negotiate a better price arguing that for the provided services we usually pay 10 or at most 15 kCOP, but to no avail. 25k pp pn. Expensive but the views at sunset are fantastic. The For-Sale sign is still there.
Also Puerto Lopez is a clean and friendly town.

Report Check-In

A nice, big area with swimmingpool. The cold showers are outdoor. They don't let you connect your car with electricity. 25k pp is very expensive, but we found nothing else in this region. There is a sign at the entrance that this property is for sale. So perhaps it will be closed soon.
