A few hundred meters away from the main road you find this sand pit. Especially when you have a rooftop tent this is a welcome spot to shelter from the wind in this otherwise flat and windy landscape.

Good. Well sheltered, bit of wind but nothing compared to above. Follow to exact coordinates, as there’s a less good pit just east.
Report Check-InGreat find on the T-junction between Murgarb, Wakhan, and Khorog. Not too far from the road but completely sheltered from wind.
Hard packed layer with stones so pegs dont work well. Better to use rocks to fasten tent.
