Description

Behind Visitors Center. Fairly flat, 3bars Verizon. Some road noise, no signs saying not to park. State troopers passed through at night and left us alone. Beautiful downtown to explore and river to park alongside.

very quiet here parked by the Riverside. A beautiful spot and the historic downtown is perfect for a stroll, restaurants, movie theater or the Vermont History Museum. A state trooper drove past us one we were in bed and just kept rolling.

Report Check-In

Though the visitors center is currently closed, the parking lot was open and we were able to spend a very quiet night. No facilities are accessible but there are ev charging stations to use

Report Check-In

Entire visitor center, including the parking lot, is gated off and is a staging area for all the construction and rebuilding going on right now. Really hard to navigate through this city for an RV right now.

Report Check-In

July's (2023) historic floods caused enormous damage to Montpelier's downtown business community and several nearby residential neighborhoods. The two-day flooding event also had a significant impact on a number of state office buildings and some of these buildings might not be reopened to the public for up to a year. THIS INCLUDES THIS VISITOR CENTER
