Hi y’all, local nomad here adding some clarification.
Parking in the Maine Mall lot overnight is not prohibited, and mall security WILL notice you if you aren’t wicked stealth. I don’t recommend RV’s or fifth wheels. A sprinter van type set up, or a car camper might be able to get away with parking if they can slip in unnoticed by the security car, and quickly set up.
On the cinemagic side, there are “private property” signs up, which I noticed around November (didn’t know about this app at the time). Not sure what is “private property” over here next to the trail and local shops, may just be a local being rude. I haven’t been spoken with yet, and I hang out here sometimes during the day, or will take a nap at times.
I also wouldn’t recommend RV’s and fifth wheels over on this side, you’d stick out like a sore thumb, and cops sometimes use the front of Cinemagic as a rendezvous spot.
Home depot (adjacent to Cinemagic) may allow overnight parking, I’d call and check first though.
Report Check-InSeveral parking lots available next to Cinemagic ( which is closed at this moment). There are a few hiking trails by the mall. No one parks in this area. We stayed here two different nights no issues, very quiet. We spoke to a mall security who said it was ok, but he said he didn’t know about the mall regulations regarding overnight parking so we could stay. “Leave no trace. “
