Historic place, mining and dam power station ruins from 1867.
There is a designated campground but manager invited me to stay parked at a grass area in front of the main building. Camping facilities are basic. Beautiful landscape. Very big rigs can stay at a public parking area 100mts before this place.

The campsite is just over 1 hour from Rivera. The entrance is just after the police station on the left. Quiet and great place to relax and learn more about local history. The landscape on the way back is incredible... 4G does not work well on site and dogs are not allowed.
Free camping, electricity, non potable water, bathroom, fire pits, tables, next to the river. Very quiet.
Report Check-Incampsite was partialy flooded. we started under the eucalyptus trees in front of the ruins. some old diesel motors. one taken out of a first world war submarine and one older than that using An Elephant leather belt. abundant bird live. We found no gold.
Report Check-InAs described. The place is really nice and we also recommend to see the ruins by yourself (it‘s open and free) or with a tour (you can book in Minas de Corrales, see other entry). The toilets were really dirty and we didn‘t dare to use them. Other than that the campground looks pretty and is in good condition. Free.
Report Check-Innice place for free. very basic Water flush toilet. Power at Sites, BBQs. drinking water. No shower. Campsite in grass, shade ist under a few trees.
Report Check-InVery beautiful and peaceful campground near some 19 century industrial ruins. Barbecues, picnic tables, a river with fish. Crude but functional flush toilets. Power available on request. Very nice and helpful caretaker. Campground is shared with some cows. FREE. great place to relax, very weak cell service. Enter gate on right follow road up hill, around house and then down hill into the camping area along the river.
