Stayed here during the day to take a shower with my camp shower and make dinner. No one came and bothered me, but with the comments from the fish and game guy on the other nearby sites I wasn't willing to risk staying here overnight. however I HIGHLY doubt they are going to drive all the way down this dead end road to check for campers every night. but there is no way of knowing.

also it does not go all the way through to town anymore, the road ded ends in a pile of dirt on a slope to steep sideways to drive on.

A small gravel road that turns off of the main road with no signage and makes a loop back into town. There is one campsite with a small fire ring and a nice overlook of the river and mountains.

This was a great spot very close to glacier national park. I arrived late at night, so I was not able to see the view, but get into the park was incredibly easy in the morning. There was someone parked at the more designated campsite with a fire pit, but I was able to find a spot further up the road that was relatively flat to pull out on. Definitely not a ton of spots, but there are a couple and the location is unbeatable.

Head up the grade from St.Marys, look for a pull out with a gravel road. Head down the road a ways....several small spots. Big enough for a full size truck and overhead camper. A bit narrow for big RVs. Quiet, three bars Verizon, incredible vista back toward Glacier.
