You like adventure right? You would rather be found in the woods than lost in the city. You are the real Camel man and you like them best without filter. The only reason you are in Dar is for Zanzibar and/or to sort some things out. This is your way out: Close to the city but feels like being in the bush. You can pick your own camp spot right on the beach. Shady spots are created by wooden structures with palm leaf roofs. Amazing swimming with high tide. Just started and run by three young inspirational minds: Ali, Fani and Naima. The vibes the place is giving of are: a little Rastafarian, Woodstockish, with a dash of Ibiza beach club with a backpackers mindset. It's basic but they make you feel home. If your lucky and interested you might get invited for tea, a free morning workout session, or a outdoor cinema where they are projecting old and new movies on the beach. The restaurant offers basic meals. We were going to camp here but found the staff very rude. wanted $10ppn and would not be flexible about the price even though there was no one else there. They seemed bothered that we were interrupting their conversation to ask about camping
Report Check-InNice bar area, camping right on the beach, welcoming staff, but still a lot of work to be done. Gate is small to get through. When we were there the pump was not working, so no running water. French toilet. New ablutions are being build, but will take (more) time to be ready. Meals are tasty and cheap. No alcohol on premise. So bring your own if you want to have a cold beer. $5,- or ths10.000 pppn.
