Description

Sheriff told us to come down here. This coordinate is just one of a few as you drive down the gravel road. It’s a little bumpy but nice gravel. Came here in summer. 2 bars AT&T and Verizon signal. Saw some big rigs here. Signs for bear storage required.

Latest Check-Ins

It's a forest road with a lot of pull offs. We got our 35 foot skoolie in a spot just barely past this one, what used to be an intersection with another road that has since been blocked off.

Road is fine. There are some avoidable potholes and some mild washboarding. I could see it getting really bad if it doesn't get worked though

Report Check-In

Great place! Would stay here again. It is a shooting area, so if you’re uncomfortable with hear gun fire, this may not be the place for you. We stayed here overnight with a 33ft travel trailer and had no issues finding a level spot. No issues with Verizon, t-mobile, or visible cell services.

Report Check-In

Chill place to stay overnight close to west entrance. Very little traffic when we were here. Had a peaceful night before heading into Yellowstone.

Report Check-In

Pull off from road. Atvs etc going by during the day but seemed like a safe space overnight. Stayed 2 nights and other vans and campers around

Report Check-In

Really nice spot. Managed to find a place (last spot before the barrier) at 8:30 PM on a 7/4 weekend. Barrier is now open to go further in the south (to the spots below). Pretty buggy on evenings. We saw a huge black bear walking 100m close to our van on our second night here.
Please keep the place as clean as it is !

Report Check-In

All gates open as of July 5th
Road isn’t awful, you’ll definitely have to slow down in some parts, but plenty of spots along the road marked by stone fire pits. Lots of flys and mosquitoes though, which is very aggravating. Stayed 4 nights with no problems
Verizon and AT&T service

Report Check-In

Pull offs along the road. Got eaten alive by mosquitos.

Report Check-In

the main road up is still closed as of June 12. was able to grab a spot. very quiet. cell service. good amount of space between pullouts. would stay again

Report Check-In

road still closed June 10th. we pulled in at 2130 and got the last spot by the gates. two large vans and one small one fit

Report Check-In

On June 1st the road to go further was closed. Only a few pullouts on this section and I was lucky enough to find one. Not much privacy as this is right next to the road but the only vehicle driving by are campers trying to find a spot! Very quiet overall. Great cell service.

Report Check-In

Road was closed for Memorial Day weekend

Report Check-In

So much dog shit! Clean up after your pets or train them to shit in the woods. Close to Yellowstone and nice spot other than awful stink and fear of stepping in poop. Two bars ATT

Report Check-In

Even on a mid-october monday, you have to be here before 7pm to get this spot, the first and closest one to Yellowstone west entrance.
It's not level, so bring your wedges if you can ;)
Very quiet and safe, leave no trace and be bear aware !

Report Check-In

Stayed here for the night, really quiet. Road is quite bumpy. It has some signal. No problems.

Report Check-In

Nice place to overnight when visiting Yellowstone, just 30 min from the park. Nice little city with restaurants, etc. (3 min from the campground). You have to park next to the path, there are some pull outs. No problems at all.

Report Check-In

So far this road has been pretty quiet. The sites we saw weren't real level but we didn't go far down the road. 3&4 bars of Verizon. My dogs love being able to walk the Forest Service road

Report Check-In

Emplacement au bord de la route non pavée. Chemin forestier. stationnement dans l'herbe. le sol est solide.
