Description

Awesome spot just off 101 in San Lorenzo County Park. Kinda pricey, $50 but not much we saw in the area. When we came on a Friday night in October it was empty but if it were full, the campsites are really close together. They have bathrooms, free showers, allow dogs. Big park, big campground. There’s a koi pond. I saw a peacock wandering around. There’s a museum of irrigation history so that’s pretty cool. Close to King City with grocery, etc. We were happy to find this spot.

San Lorenzo Park - https://www.countyofmonterey.gov/government/departments-i-z/public-works-facilities-parks/county-parks/list-of-county-parks/san-lorenzo-park - offers excellent RV camping on the cheap.

Why on the cheap? Because nobody can figure out the booking system, so it sits mostly empty. The booking system is solvable though, and onto those who overcome it, riches flow plentiful.

If you’re a runner, there’s a mile-long dirt loop just west of the campground.

Nice park with good bathrooms an free hot showers. Laundry available. Lots of free sites on a weekend in May. Only some sites shaded, especially ones on the inner ring (i.e. #67). Full an partial hookup available. Close to the highway. Would recommend for a night or two. Reasonable cell service. 50$ per night.
