Description

7 formal campsites with picnic tables and fire rings beside the Parshall Flume. There are 2 roads leading in. One is gated at the highway. The other leads to Quail Creek State Park. Take the latter and turn right down the hill before the fence. Go past sign stating " Day use or overnight camping - 1 night limit". At the bottom of the hill, turn left along the Flume away from the highway. Sites are on both sides of the road.

I had to be in the area the next day, so it was convenient. It's right off the main road and close to lots of stores and services. Very comfortable, but it's not the most picturesque. It's got a bit of a rock quarry or industrial site vibe to it. Definitely recommended if you're passing through and need a spot for a night.

as described by others. getting some work done on my van in St George and this is a great place to stay. a cross between boondocking and urban camping. good Verizon signal.

I’ve stayed here several times in the past and it’s always been a nice and quiet place to get some rest after a day of mountain biking. There is even a smallish trail network right next to camp. I’ve used these trails to run my dog after a long drive to burn off some of that dog energy.

I was bummed to see the new signs that only allow one day of camping. I imagine it’s because of abuse, like so many other places.

There isn’t a whole lot of room in most sites for big RVs but my Sprinter fits with no problems. I’ve also seen a lot of people tent camp here. There are tables and fire rings at each designated site and tonight when pulling in I notices a porta potty and dumpster along the road in. I’m self contained but I’m sure some would like having them.

Please treat these places with respect. Don’t overstay the time limits and leave it cleaner than you found it. So many great spots are getting closed and it takes so little energy to keep them open if we all do our part.

Awesome spot to stay close to Hurricane and St George, less than 1.5 miles off the hwy but you can't hear much of the hwy noise. A few spot might work for something larger than a van but it would be pretty tight to turn around.
Great hiking trails and views of the resivor. Good cell phone coverage. Garbage and 1 porty pot.

Please keep it clean so areas like this remain open:) 1 night stay
