Description

Nice view around the area. There is a day-use area (fee $2 USD/day) and a campground (fee$ 8 USD/day). Especially when you don't want to stay at Walmart in St. George it is a nice place to spend the night on the way from or to the Valley of fire.

Someone stated it was free with Nevada annual pass, read the fine print when you enter, I am not sure if that’s true.

Nice campground for $8 before discounts. $2 day use fee

Report Check-In

Convenient location and clean. Weird toilets, though, that don't have a regular seat. It's just the naked toilet without a liftable seat so it felt weird sitting on it. Poor Verizon coverage, was unable to pay for one of my nights using the scan-to-pay system.

Report Check-In

Flush toilets and hand sinks, also water fountains. Only water spigot I found was at the top of the Upper Loop, at what was site 58. Happy I was able to fill the water tanks!

No data speed on the Verizon LTE signal.

All descriptions are accurate. That said, I’ll be staying here again and again. Very quite other than the highway. Very nice just to pull up, make some dinner and enjoy a sunset and sunrise.

Report Check-In

YES! Gorgeous established BLM campsite. Just stayed for an overnight but the stars alone were worth the $8!

Report Check-In

Beautiful view for lunch or camping! Just a note it’s quite high from the river, there is a 10 minute dirt trail down there on the right campground facing the river. We didn’t have a problem with wind.

Report Check-In

car camping in camping spot #5, near the bathroom (which has running water). it's pretty mildly warm, but windy.
the campground is relatively busy.

Report Check-In

A really nice campground - if you get a good site. We stayed 2 nights in no. 95, lower loop - overlooking the river and with plenty of space all around. No shade though. Other sites have covered tables. Nice hikes nearby.

NPR at 88.9.

Pros: easily accesible from the freeway. Paved roads. Good handicap accessibility. Clean bathrooms. Short hike down to river. Most sites had fire pits, picnic table and grills. Well maintained area.
Cons: fills ups fast. So make sure to reserve your desired spot on recreation.gov. There are first come first serve spots but no covered shelter. River access and grill access in some spots may be difficult or inaccessible for physically handicapped or wheelchair bound individual.

Report Check-In

great spot, level sites w fire rings & tables at both the upper & lower (day use) areas. Note: palapas sites mostly have yellow markers and are $16/night via online booking only. Spotty TMobile coverage. Deluxe heated new bathrooms but no water fillup tap that we could find.

Report Check-In

Really pretty spot, but I was super annoyed that the nicest sites are only available if you reserve on recreation.gov, at which point you add an $8 reservation fee.

There was a single water spigot at a site in the lower campground but it wasn't on. Don't expect to fill up here.

Some of the lower sites had VERY spotty Verizon service. Enough to text or occasionally and slowly use the Internet.

After driving through, I actually stayed the night across the hwy, where there is excellent Verizon service.

Report Check-In

Very nice campground and fairly cheap at $8 a night. Stayed here through the weekend, got a bit busy on Friday/Saturday but there were still open tent sites, for the most part the RV spots filled up Friday night. Some sites are reservable online. I believe all sites had picnic tables and standing grills, only some have fire rings. Bathrooms and potable water available.

Finally re-opened after 2 year renovations. It's very nice. Bathrooms are heated in the winter, flush toilets. I stayed in site #51 in my SUV. Nice level pull through. Kinda cold in the morning, like 37 - 39 degrees. Very little road noise although I-15 is visible. I like this spot. Only $4 with senior pass ($8 without). I wouldn't try camping here in the summer. Too hot. Zero bars with T-Mobile.

Report Check-In

Nice spot, the sign says that you can stay at the lower day use area by the river if you are only staying overnight.

Report Check-In

Amazing place, only $8! Bathrooms super clean. Surrounded by mountains. Wood sign at entrance shows camping straight up, but there is camping in lower area too - but sign calls that day use. Posters on board behind pay box show the layout. River dried up.

Report Check-In

isnt closed at all. is open

Report Check-In

Very much open. Stunning views, hiking trails from the campground. Some sites close together, others with some separation. Minimal Verizon service. Breezy.

Report Check-In

Closed until 2020 according to a sign at the locked gate

Clean place bathrooms are getting old and could use an update only one working toilet per building in ladies. Price was fair

Report Check-In

Nice campground next to the highway. As described before, there are pretty clean toilets with a couple of plugs, drinking water and lots of spaces for all kind of vehicles. There are a few palapas both in the overnight area and the day pass area. We swam in the river, it was great. Very hot and a little bit windy. No cell service.

Report Check-In

$8 for overnight use or $4 if you have an annual NP pass. Not much shade and hot as balls!

Report Check-In

Great BLM campground off the highway but far enough you can't really hear it, a deal for $8. Sites were well developed, some larger than others, level gravel. We were there in early Feb so it was cold at night, and the bathrooms were wonderfully clean and heated! Beautiful setting in the Virgin River Gorge. A gem on the way between Vegas and Utah, etc. We stopped only for the night and wished we could stay longer.

Report Check-In

As discribed, clean and nice place to overnight also for more days

Report Check-In
