MODERATOR NOTE: as per state ordinance wild camping is prohibited in area, will be enforced by rangers

Quiet parking lot with pit toilet. Parking only. No camping or tents. Fits big RV.
Daily use is not free, but overnight parking seems to be. 2-3 other cars have also stayed overnight.
Sherrif gave the parking area a quick visit but didn't intervene.

It is forbidden to sleep in vehicles at night here, in the whole area. Rangers come by late at night and very early in the morning to check

We staid this night. nobody comes. good night quiet

We spent the night, but a ranger came through mid-morning and said we had to leave or pay the day use fee. The day use fee is good for the entire recreation area, so we paid it and spent the day.

Nice and slightly graded parking lot. Quiet overall. Some cars drive in to watch the sunset but keep to themselves. Good cell signal (2 bars LTE with ATT). Arrived by 6PM and left at 7AM. Good rest point before sequoia national park.
