Iraq
Abu Dalaf spiral minaret. smaller than the one in Samarra but open and for free. you can go up to the top if you are not too scared of hights. it would be an amazing place to camp at as well. only tourists with their drivers come here and you are not visible from the road there. lots of flat ground around to choose from for a camping spot. we wanted to continue so we just had picnic here.
It's a beautiful place indeed but when we were there (Friday) there were also a lot of locals having pick-nick, therefore it's very polluted (trash everywhere) and noisy. Try to go there during the week if you can. If coming from south you must go through Samarra and the guards at the check point kept our passports so we had to go back instead of going directly to Tikrit from here.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
