Can confirm the description. Jorge is travelling at the moment, but his friend and fellow overlander Juan Manuel is equally great a host. He even offered us to set up camp in front of the chimney for the night, as it was quite chill and windy outside.

If you want some sunshine in your life, Jorge is your man! I can confirm everything above. A beautiful spot with views over the lake. A kitchen, the fireside, good company and interesting conversation. A worthwhile stop.

Jorge is a great host along with the two dogs Sam and Salala (sp?). Definitely one of the most beautiful spots in Colombia. I didn't leave for six days, and it was hard to leave then. I highly recommend stopping by for at least a couple of nights! All the other comments are spot on too. Thanks Jorge. Until we meet again.

It is a beautiful and wonderful place. All kinds of vehicles are received and you can also stay in any of the rooms if you wish. Hot water, bathroom, internet and parking. It has a fireplace inside, to share with the host. Highly recommended

What a wonderful wonderful wonderful place. Jorge is the best host and best person to make your trip in Colombia awesome. Campfire, fishing, good stories, hot shower and washing machine and dryer. The house is along the dirtroad which you follow from the town. Easy road, no rocks and no 4x4 needed;) (follow the way to Montilon and further)
The two dogs are amazing too. Please go here, enjoy the beautiful lake, enjoy Jorge and give him a hand with his ecologic projects!!

Not only the water of the shower is nice and warm, also Jorge's hospitality is.
He's a host who's very involved with his guests and makes you feel more than welcome in his beautiful house with magnificant lake view.
He won the "breakfast compitition" according to our children, by making them fresh pancakes with Nutella...
The bed is very comfortable. We could use the kitchen and made an extra meal for him which we enjoyed together.
We also were offered a boattrip on the lake and passed an amazing time with him.
Don't miss out on a stay with Jorge, this is one of Colombia's highlights!

Excelente lugar! Nos quedamos 4 noches, no nos queriamos ir!
Casa con costa de lago, barco para navegar, kayak, temascal en construccion, excelente wifi y muy buena onda!
Jorge un genio. Viajero y super abierto a todos los visitantes. Habla español, ingles y alemán. Tiene opciones para todo tipo de viajero.
Habitaciones excelentes de 40 usd, con baño privado, chimenea, cama king, vista al lago, mantas termicas y desayuno incluido hasta la posibilidad de dormir en el camper y usar las instalaciones (baño, ducha, cocina, wifi) todo por 10usd.
Desayuno completo (huevos, pan, jugo, chocolate caliente, fruta) a 2usd.
Mascotas bienvenidas.
No se pierdan de conocer a Jorge!

Great place! We stayed 4 nights, we did not want to leave! House with lake shore, boat to sail, kayak, temascal in construction, excellent wifi and very good vibe! Jorge is a genius. Traveler and super open to all visitors. He speaks Spanish, English and German. He has options for all types of travelers. Excellent rooms (the best one is 40 usd)with private bathroom, fire place, king bed, lake view, thermal blankets and breakfast included and also the possibility of sleeping in the camper and use facilities (bath, shower, kitchen, wifi) all for 10usd. Full breakfast (eggs, bread, juice, hot chocolate, fruit) at 2usd. Pets welcome.

Here live Jorge, an amazing guy with a true heart of traveller (he used to travel before, by moto or combi). He owns a beautiful house, with direct view on the Laguna.

He has a homestay. 2 rooms (Double bed in each), with private bathroom, and view on the Laguna. Breakfast include. He has also a cabana for 4 people, completely independent (with your own kitchen, living room, bathroom).

But because he loves travelers, he wants to open his gate to Overlander as well (rigs and tent). He ll charge something for the showers (really really hot shower !!) electricity, wifi, kitchen​, etc, but not sure how much. He loves listen the stories of the travellers. The communal room is a perfect place for chilling: choose the music you want to play, enjoy the view, make a fire, share wine/tea or anything else with him, share a meal, ...
