note site closed to camping. I went here to stay for the night, and saw the signs

Report Check-In

As described!

Two hunting scouts had a conversation next to my truck in the morning. . They didn’t know I was in there. They were strangers to each other, and the conversation was quite endearing and sweet. Free entertainment on top of a free place to sleep!

Service wasn’t great for Verizon. . Kept fluctuating. So it was hard to research about turkey hunting season dates in CO. But I had no issues.

Report Check-In

Camped here last night. Nice spot to pull off road and get some rest. Although no camping from turkey hunting season to Aug. 15.

Report Check-In

Level lot a mile off the highway. Dry gravel road was no problem for our Sprinter. We enjoyed the trains and owl heard overnight. No posting of closure for hunting season on the big sign in the parking area.

Report Check-In

Overnight camping/parking allowed after August 15. Closed from spring turkey season until then. Concrete level for rig. No facilities

Report Check-In

A very quiet and remote parking lot for the Oxbow State Wildlife Area, with a clear statement on the board that camping is permitted in the parking lot. The dirt parking lot is small but should take around 6 small RVs. Mine is 26’.
Today we have the place to ourselves and it’s very peaceful.

Report Check-In

Good place to camp for a night if you are just passing through, there were some hunters but they did not bother us.
