All services listed are in the termas. Price to the termas still $4pp, you need a swimming cap ($1 if you dont have it). Hydromassage and Turco $2pp/30min extra.
Weekends all the termas in Papallacta are pretty busy, we waited until Monday, and it was only about 10 people for the 3 pools.
There is a restaurant with ok food.

Quiet and safe place, a little bit cold. Very nice for trekking nearby.
If you pay $5 per car you can park by the lake. Fishing is allowed.

Still good place for a night or two. The Termales are busy on the weekends, so we went in on Monday morning and was very quiet. Everything was clean and in good order. Very limited Claro signal from the camping spot. There is a nice walk along the backside of the lake if you have a dog.

Report Check-In

The place is very suitable for large campers! No hight restrictions!

Camped just outside the gate, next to the river. (The spot, on the muddy road with the shelter, described in other comments, is on private property (sign at gate).) The night guard came to check us out, we introduced ourselves and explained we'd use the pools the next morning. He asked us to not leave any garbage.

Road audible, but otherwise quiet. Paid nothing for camping. Claro reception, but with lousy internet. Hotel WiFi too weak from here.

Thermal water is piped from up the mountain. The water has a lot of minerals or silt, which deposits in the baths, on the floors, everywhere. Baths made of concrete, different depths but temperatures pretty close. One cannot see the bottoms - the water is a bit murky. Showers are warm, open air 'waterfalls' - nice touch. Facilities worn, not tiled, far from spotless. We had the whole place to ourselves from 6:30 to 8:30.

Paid USD 4 per person for the baths.

We entered the termales (4$ pp) between 15-19, it seems that on Monday they clean the pools after week end, so we only could use two of them, but by the way we enjoyed the place and the night coming. They let us stay in the big parking for free “because it wasn’t week end”. The parking outside seems ok by the way

We camped for three nights just before the bridge (alongside the creek). FREE. No issues. From there we soaked here at Jamanco one day (short walk over) for $4.00 per person. Pools were clean and hot. Outdoor HOT showers were amazing. We also drove in and soaked at the resort ($9.00 per person) and then returned to the free spot to sleep. Seriously this place is as nice as the resort for a bargain price! Cheaper food, admission, etc. No WiFi.

When we arrived we asked some guys that worked at the termales if we could camp at the parking lot down from the hotel. they told us yes. We were all set up when around 7 a guy came up to us and told us it cost $5 per night to camp. We could stay outside of their property for free, which is just across the bridge. The nicest spot is in the corner next to the small river. The termas are great!!

This place rocks. Still $4 pp, no extra charge for camping (you're outside the gate but you are off the road so it is secure and quiet). Staff are very nice. Actually it seems they're officially closed now at 6pm, but as a camper you can use the pools all night. Yes the last comment is still true. Maybe it's not the luxurious spa-type baths, but we thought the grounds were very cool, event everything is clean, and you have the gorgeous mountains above you and can even see a waterfall. Wifi in camping area only if you can get very close to hotel and maybe have antenna.

We had a good time, they let us in in the night pretty awesome 🛀. Night cold but aqua caliente. 4us pp and wifi from the hotel still works.

Report Check-In

A good place to set up a tent. Nearly quiet, huts, fire place and facilities only some meter away at the thermas. For securety freaks the entrance gate to area get closed at night and the only 100m distanced hotel has a night guard.

Camping in the parking lot in front of the hot springs. When visiting the hot springs the night in the parking lot is free. Admission: US $ 3 / person. There are several natural and very well maintained hot water pools in a beautiful developted gardens. Open from 6am til 8pm. Thereafter, the gate to the parking lot is locked.

Alternatively, you could also camp at the Termas Papallacta. There camping is US $ 6 / person and the admission to the spa US $ 7.50. We also had a look at the thermal hot springs, but thought the Termas Jamanco are as beautiful and were cheaper including admission at Termas Jamanco 21 US!
