iOverlander cannot verify if wild camping is permitted at this location. It is your responsibility to verify local laws or obtain consent before staying the night.
Free with many other campers (snowbirds). But in the whole area free spots everywhere.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Agree with all the above descriptions, I can see Quartzsite from my campsite. Just a quick overnight so I'm close to the road with the expected traffic noise. You can drive in further and have less noise. No camp host but we're nearing the end of the season, maybe they already left.
Report Check-InNice open area with brushes & trees along edges. These areas fill up first and quickly. There is always room in the center area. Very nice. 14 day stay.
Report Check-InHuge BLM campground 4 miles outside of quartzsite. Google maps reviews talks about a camp host. But I've been here for 24 hours and haven't found one.
Report Check-Ininternet hit and miss. It’s right outside of quartsite the home of you can buy better but you can’t pay more.(
Report Check-InWe pulled in during the dark, so visibility was limited. Windy enough to want to put my stabilizers down but not for a one night stay. Not a lot of room in my book for pickiness when staying for free, If anything pops out at me in the morning I'll add it into this review.
Report Check-InNice open camping, great cell coverage (you can see the cell tower nearby). Free up to 14 days. Just check in with host at the entrance.
Report Check-InBig place with lots of rigs. This time of year there are a lot of people. Some road noise
Report Check-InBLM, camp host on site, at least while we were here. Busy place. Can ride OHV to town and into desert. No amenities. learned this the hard way, if you like to keep roof vents open make sure you park your rig facing west. it's dusty when it's even breezy.
Report Check-InNice area. Would stay here again.👍Not what I expected for Quartzite after all I had heard about it.
Report Check-InThis place was OK for one night but there were far too many conspiracy nut cases here for my liking...moving on!
Report Check-InGreat spot off the highway. 3 bars with Verizon, lots of RV’s, vans and some ground tents. Can hear the traffic from the interstate but not to bad. 8 mins from gas station. Very quiet.
Report Check-InNice flat areas to park big rigs, lots of other campers, 14 day limit, a bit noisy road but good stopping place outside of Quartzite.
Report Check-InNice huge, flat space for all size rigs. Can hear the road, but it’s not too intrusive at night. Amazing sunrise, sunsets, & moonrise’s. BLM land 14 day stay.
Report Check-InLovely as usual. Shades still scarce. Nice & clean, lovely stone sculptures, still can hear the freeway.
Report Check-Inplenty of fire rings here, little closer together than we are used to though.
full T-Mobile signal here
Big field of small bushes and washes with sizeable trees. surrounded by flat fields of big rocks. There are day use only trails for dirtbikes, atvs, mtn bikes, that goes to the mountains I suppose. We didn't go that far. lots of undesignated space to park in. Fire rings made with the rocks available. Any type vehicle and dry camping. Quiet. People spread out and have space. During Jan. it's probably crowded, but fine now. We spent 2 nights here last week also.
Report Check-InGreat place to camp, plenty of room all though quite rocky throughout. Verizon signal was good.
Report Check-InFree with many other campers (snowbirds). But in the whole area free spots everywhere.
