lovely place with a view on the volcano. Roberto who speak good English and his family receive you very well. big grassy field next to the hostal filled with lamas. bathroom and showers. nice restaurant with fire place..wifi. 5 $ pp. and free for kids.

Camped here for 2 nights. Very pretty surroundings but the place itself is kind of dirty (particularly the shower, which by the way is warm not hot). Wifi was enough to receive Whatsapp messages, but using the internet or social media, or using whatsapp for phone calls was impossible, it was very slow. Still $5 pp/pn. Potable water available.

Report Check-InGood camping spot - glad we stopped here and missed the steep cobbled road up to casa del arbol. It was a nice half hour walk up, and well worth it for a dollar to act like a kid.
Good wifi, toilets and showers. We shared the camping area with 3 llamas - much to our dog's enjoyment!
They are building some great looking swimming pools that I believe will be aqua caliente - then this place will go from good to amazing!
Report Check-InThere are two driveways here. First takes you to front of cabins and you can drive to left and get in front of restaurant. second takes you right to restaurant where we parked on grass out front. Roberto very nice. Wifi reached camping area and was decent. Good Claro reception. Shower was hot (right hand knob). Bathrooms had seats and paper. No barking dogs, only a lone rooster who doesn't go on and on and not every morning. Very peaceful place. Restaurant serves three meals; breakfast is $3.50 and is a scrambled egg, tea/coffee, a smoothie and a roll with cheese. We had some very good soup for lunch one day too.
Report Check-InAll as described before, although showers could do with a more regular clean, hot enough though. Roberto very friendly and helpful.

BEAUTIFUL spot up in the mountains outside of Baños. Super tranquil, tons of space, very friendly owners, wifi, bathrooms, and sometimes hot showers. Restaurant also on site. Highly recommended!

Report Check-InA great place, with a lot of space, it is possible to camp, it has space for mobile homes, it is very close to the volcano, near to the tree house, it is a very relaxed environment, it is a very quiet place, it has a wonderful view of the mountains
