Description

Beautiful private game lodge.
Campsite with private abolition is 220R ppn or 190R ppn with a communal one.
Campsite 17 or 18 are nicely secluded and because nothing is fenced animals will wander through your camp. They have four of the big five except for lions.
Ask for a discount if you are over 60!
It's pricie but absolutely worth it.

Camped at one of the campsites with private ablutions (no 8)
Ablutions are actually not in the campsite, it’s a block of 4. bathrooms for the four campsites around. So not much privacy.
We paid 250 pppn plus 150 conservation fee which makes It 650 for a night for 2.

Not really worthwhile for a quick overnight stop
Between Durban and Kruger NP.

But you get a nice bush feeling.

Great campsite and quite luxurious way to spend a couple of days. Private abutions are spacious and very clean (quad ablution building for 4 sites). Campsites have braai and light. You have a whole private game park at your disposal, what could be better.

Beautiful wild game lodge with a lot secluded camping sites. You can do your own gamedrives and you will get the feeling of a real wild drive. When it's raining the ways will be slippery and wild but it makes it even more interesting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. For overlanders I would recommend a two day stop. The value you get for your money is really good. If possible avoid december, the place will be stacked with SA tourists. Besides that you will have a lot of room for your self in the middle of a forest.

stayed at the new bush camp at the dam. 6 new sites no power. Had some serious issues with water supply system at the new ablution. Took management and maintenance (who was on leave 7 days to fix). All and all a special place and worth the visit, just a pity our stay was spoiled by the above mentioned.

Large private game reserve with chalets, lodge as well as camping. Campsites with private ablutions also available. This park previously only allowed game drives with their own game viewing vehicles. They now allow you to drive around the whole park and as mentioned previously, they have 4 of the Big 5, no lions. You may also walk any of the many trails around the reserve. Campsite visitors include buck, genets, mongoose, bushbabies and the ellies can be heard close by at night. Great place to stay for a night or an extended visit.
