NB See check-in comments regarding inability to fill bottles not having vent valves.
ALSO, you will likely have no luck getting fixed gas tanks filled, but they can direct you somewhere nearby that will.

What a great service. We’ve got fixed tank with the regular US ACME fitting and they had no problem. I called him and arranged to meet at the Primax grifo near the Tottus on Avenida de la Cultura. He came immediately and we drove 100m or so down the road. I parked behind him and he filled the tank, showing me the starting meter reading (all very honest).Report Check-In
Topped up US bottle, 15 l = S/.26.40, in 1/2 h. Didn’t have any change and no other businesses around. So you better have change when you come here.Report Check-In
If you have a fix tank, don't bother going to the plant. You can call Raul, the propane truck driver at +51.950.491.949 and set up an appointment with him (either at the plant or anywhere in Cusco).Report Check-In

Forget the "notorious ..." bit. That might have been the case 4 years ago.
Filled a standard US bottle
Friendly efficient service, full bottle and didn't charge any premium over the normal swap'n'go price.
I would suggest you figure out your tare and full weights in kilograms and write it on the bottle to make it easier for the operators.Report Check-In
