Cable car takes 22 minutes to Kuelap station and costs 20 soles per person round trip. First a 10 min ride with the bus from parking lot and ticket center to start station. There was a guard on the parking lot when we where there.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Great cable car ride up to the ruins. Only a small portion of the ruins are open to the public at the moment. You need to reserve you spot to access the ruins. Go to www.kuelap.cultura.pe follow the online instructions. Fill in the form and email it back. They will respond back confirming the time you can access the ruins. You show the reservation when you buy the ticket to the cable car. You can take the cable car anytime before your reservation.

Last run down at 3:30h! We showed up at 1 pm on a Sunday and decided to skip it for today. Monday is closed so we will go up with motorcycles mañana. Don’t need to understand why the Kuelap site is open until 5 pm but the cable car closes at 3:30 pm. It’s Peru :)
Report Check-InIMPORTANT NOTE: apparently the teleferico is closed on Mondays for inspection. See attached picture with schedule for 2019.
Price 20.40 Soles pp, no discounts not even for children, no dogs allowed.
Parking only at this station, not up where the cable car starts (bus ride is included in the ticket)
Cable car is up and running. Safe parking here, they give you a ticket when you park that you return to them when you are ready to leave (no charge). 20 soles per person, as described below you get on the bus to the station and then a dramatic 20 minute cable ride across.
Report Check-InTemporarily closed since Sept 18! Apparently there were landslides and they don't know when the bus AND cable car will be up and running again. Currently the only ways up are walking or driving.

Report Check-InWell organized and maintained. The ticket is only for the cable car, not for the site itself. Tickets available on top.
Report Check-InLast tickets for day at 2:35 BUT be aware last ride back down is at 3:30. We took noon bus and had enough time even with the 2.5km walk to and from site once you're up there. Buses up are every seven minutes starting at eight a.m. to 14:46 p.m. but times probably change depending on season. Buses back are also every seven minutes starting at 9:03 a.m. As mentioned previously you cannot buy a cable car ticket at the cable car station; only at bus station.
Report Check-InBe careful, the cable-car is closed every monday for maintenace operations!
