6500 ARS pp. we were advised that there is no free camping all over the parque nacional. there are temporary road restrictions, so plan accordingly. If you not you might end up "locked in" e.g. in Pampa Linda. i add a photo with the time schedule.

The foreigner fee is 3500pp now. But we arrived after 17:30h and it wasn't necessary to pay. You need to pay attention to traffic schedule because the roads have timetables.

Finally after the quarantaine we were able to explore this park. When we arrived at around 11:00am the internet was down, so thr Parkranger couldnt register our ticket. We got a free entry ticket.

We heard from other France overlander (Julien and his family) that they raised the price to 1200 pesos per person for foreigners.

Nice Park, nice scenery, we spent 3 days there sleeping at Lago Hess at the free camp. Busy at sundays.

Keep in mind: They have special deiving times, cause of one way roads. Ive uploaded a photo with the timetable.

(Advice: If you go in after working hours the gate is open and no one is checking tickets)

Entrance is now 400 pesos per person. Road is gravel but definitely not that bad. Last 10 km to Pampa Linda is a bit bad and the final road to Ventisquero Negro and base of Cerro Tronador is worse but overall not worse than other roads we have driven. High clearance is preferable, 4x4 not needed. The park is quite nice, highlights are the Ventisquero Negro and the view from the base of Tronador. Not comparable to other parks more South though.

Dirt road is definitely OK for a 4x4 and even 2WD manage to get up there easily. Took us 1,5h. Note that the road is a one way road in the morning (going up) and later in the afternoon (going down). Free access after working hours.

The 50k dirt road to Tronado took us over 2,5 hours. This road is awful. I’d recommend to skip this part of the PN. The black glacier at approx 42k is not too special (compared to other glaciers around) and definitely not worth the damage you’ll cause to your car.

PN Nahuel Huapi entrance gate to Área Mascardi. From here you can access the Circuito Cascada Los Alerces and Cerro Tronador. Current entrance fee to this area of the park for foreigners is $250pp, regardless of season.
