The friendly translator of the corrupt ranger, who wanted 800 soms from us for camping on the "wild camp outside Arslanbob.." sent us here. We woke up to loud music, the next morning, as they were in the middle of preparations for a folk festival. Nobody bothered about us. Not even the 20 police officers who were just curious about our rig.
No privacy, as it is on an open field next to the main road. Suitable for most vehicles. Plenty of flat grassy space. Fast beeline 3g Internet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
great grassy patch, ideal for camping. maybe we were unlucky, but in the evening a white car parked next to us blasting loud music for hours. there were a couple of locals getting absolutely smashed and bothering us quite a bit. and they were back the next morning at 8 already. we set up camp near the river, so maybe if you camp further towards the road they won't bother you as much?
Report Check-InHaving spent a night on either side of the river up near the waterfall, I can say this is much better. The access to the tiny bit of flat land near the waterfall is very 4x4, totally exclude heavier rigs, and pretty bumpy for lighter ones.
Report Check-InNice place. Stayed 2 nights with fellow Overlanders. Nice rural walk when you cross the footbridge than turn right and up (follow track on Maps.me). For toiletoptions, be creative....
Report Check-InThe friendly coordinator at CBT told us that wildcamping is forbidden around Arslanbob, and that the park rangers are actively looking for tourists. He also gets calls from the rangers after they find people camping, so he friendly asked us only to camp at the fair ground, since it's allowed here. There were some locals BBQ'ing, but other than that it was quiet, no-one bothered us.
Report Check-InNice spot in plain view of street and some houses. Not bothered by anyone.
Report Check-InThis is the spot where the friendly member of the local CBT (community based tourism) sent us to.
It was quiet, next to a river, and lots of leveled space for vehicles and tents.
From there you can go for a hike in the walnut forest.
nice quiet place, a copple off kids where playing volleybal, great grass area, much place. beautiful vieu. the village was not doable for big rig!
