Description

this little cafe offers camping and there is room for cars and trucks too on the side of the dirt road.
it was low season so they only charged us 50 m$ pr person pr night.
wifi is fast, the food is good and the coffee cheap.
Kate from Wisconsin and her husband Rey runs the place and speak English.
bathrooms are simple but clean.
they also have 4 rooms on the second floor.
From the main road turn at the soccefield/playground down the Little dirt road. in the corner is the back side of the cafe.
you can go swimming but be careful. there is a strong current. And even though Rey is a lifeguard he might not be home.
PS: Rey also makes a mean Michilade.

Latest Check-Ins

Went to Cafe Maya but they said the parking rules have changed and recommended I stay slightly behind their place with Jose and Alma who were lovely hosts of a newly build beach bar and cabana. $100 pesos per person. Clean bathroom and cold shower. Stayed for 4 nights and loved it!

spent a night here. honestly found the owner very unfriendly. you pay 50 pesos per person to park on the beach (which is free). the shower is cold, the wifi very slow and the owner superunfriendly with overlanders.

Report Check-In

It's an ok place but it's really just a parking spot near the cafe, not more. She got 100 from us for two and when we got back the parking was occupied...so we had to park in the field next to it. Restrooms are not the best, wifi is ok but not super fast...the owner were not so friendly. So for a night it might be ok but if you find something better, take it.
