i am right beside at the hidalgo park, parked there for couple of
hours to work in the van and no problem. If you decide to buy food around this area, don’t do it in the plaza/marina street, go up one block and amazing cheap Mexican food there !

We checked around and it seems there is no regulation for big cars. We pass through the old town with our van (ford econoline explorer) and even pass along the police, but nothing happened. We asked around and everybody told us this can’t be right. Just fyi!

When you come to the sign Centro Puerto vallarta - Tepic, tourn right to Tepic, there is no problem!

Watch out if you drive around with bigger vehicle truckcamper, you are not allow to drive around in downtown puerto Vallarta, at this point the police pulled us over and gave us a ticket for 500 pesos.
