No problem to get car prices for our 13t caravan as it is written M1G on the papers
Possible to exchange euros across the street in an official exchange office. Same rate as the resellers who approaches you in the sector.

Men are cool but wow, really expensive ! we payed 40538 tenge for 1 month, 8.5 tones = approximately 83€...

Wooden container with "desk" inside. Prices are exactly as online (nomad.kz) and "nomad" is also printed on the insurance-paper.
Five months is 46.123 Tenge, one month is around 21000. Cash only. You can exchange money with one of the men/women outside (47.000 = 100€).

Remember to put all drivers on the insurance, as only those put there are allowed to drive. The insurance is checked at the first police station.

Trucks (Class N1) cost about 87.000 Tenge for five months! So better have "M1" or "M1G" in your car documents and insist on "M1G означает легковой автомобиль.", if your "little" camper is >3,5t.

Update: When exiting Kazakhstan, we needed an electronic ticket for the border and the guy selling it said our insurance was fake. So we did a little research.
For nomad you can check the insurance on their website at the top (nomad.kz/proverit-strakhovoy-polis/) and also on a government site (id.mkb.kz/#/esbd/checkInsurancePolicy).

Ours was valid on both sites...

Don’t buy a SIM card at the little shop, we got scammed, promised unlimited but it was only 1 GB, for 7500 tenge. In an official shop from BeeLine this is unlimited GB, for a whole month :)

Currency exchange is also possible, EUR to KZT

Car insurance at one of the small offices.
We paid about 31€ for 15 days.
You can also buy sim cards at one of the minimarkets nearby (Beeline 25GB for 7.500 tenge valid for 1 month).
Money changers are in the border area too.

Shady containers for insurance right after the border. We paid 15519 denge for 1 month insurance. Landcruiser 78

Check the guy entering your details in the system, I had to correcr him sometimes.

insurance in the green container ; don't pay until they enter your details in the computer system. The guy charged me 10.000 Tenge (for 250cc motorbike) but was a bit more than 4.000 according to the system. Apparently fixed price for first 15 days.

We paid 2600 Russian Rubels for 1 month. The insurance company is called „amanat“ (but you can’t see the name in the office, only on the paper that you get as confirmation).

here you get the insurance for your car, we paid 8700 (~25 us$) for 10 days. same amount for 5 days.
first they claimed there is no shorter period than 15 days...
see their computer, the software has 5 and 10 days!
